Your role

Our operations in Garpenberg are constantly evolving, and we are now looking for two weekly planners for our operations center in Garpenberg. As a weekly planner at the operations center, you have a central role in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities in the mine, with an ongoing planning interval of three weeks. Your responsibilities include creating, updating, and maintaining weekly plans as well as coordinating projects and external stakeholders that affect production. You will follow up on production-related KPIs and participate in our continuous improvement work. You will work closely with our operations center technicians and support planning-related issues and priorities, as well as during any emergencies. In this role, you are a key person in creating the right conditions for reliable and efficient production in the mine.

Your team

You will belong to an engaged team consisting of five operations center technicians, four weekly planners, and one supervisor. The working hours are continuously 2-shift according to a 7-7 schedule. During the training period, you will work daytime or 7-7 days. A probationary period may apply.

Your tasks

  • Plan and prepare production schedules and workflows
  • Coordinate internal and external activities that affect operations
  • Participate in and lead morning meetings with production reviews
  • Follow up on KPIs and participate in improvement groups
  • Support operations technicians in operational decisions and emergencies
  • Analyze capacity and resources to ensure efficient processes
  • Compile reports on production and planning results

Your contribution

We are looking for someone with good communication and collaboration skills who is comfortable in a driving and planning role. To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you are structured, analytical, and enjoy taking responsibility and driving development forward. In a group, you are happy to take on the role of leader and are not afraid to voice your opinion while being good at addressing others' viewpoints. Your good adaptability also makes you skilled at quickly evaluating and reprioritizing actions when needed. You also need to have good computer skills and enjoy working in different systems.

We are looking for you who have:

  • High school education in a relevant field
  • Experience in planning
  • Good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Driving license B

Meritorious are:

  • Experience in the mining industry or similar industry
  • Experience in production planning within construction, industry, or logistics
  • Education as a geologist, mining engineer, or other relevant direction
